Interviews!

Just finished my third and final interview of the week. On Tuesday, I talked with Sharon Fortney, Curator of Indigenous Collections and Engagement at the Museum of Vancouver, about a show they have going on called Acts of Resistance. Still a bit uncertain about when and how I’ll use that interview — I will be doing a related interview in the coming weeks, and the jury is still out whether they’ll be combined into one show or used separately. Then this morning, I talked with Mayson Fulk. He is the Trans Liason with District 6 of the United Steelworkers. We talked about the challenges of transitioning at work and what unions can do to be more supportive of trans workers. And just now I spoke with Maud and Vishan of The Rap Battles for Social Justice, a Montreal-based crew that puts together hip-hop events to raise money and do popular education related to a range of social justice struggles.
